Well, it's official....no more kiddos! We have always thought in the back of our minds that maybe some day my body would suddenly start working again...and maybe we would have miracle baby number 2...and my doctor has told us of a few cases where women who have been in menopause, have suddenly become pregnant...and I just KNEW we would be the couple from the RM...JC on a mission and on his yearly mother's day phone call we would be telling him "you know how you always wanted a brother or sister....well guess what!" I know you are all chuckeling to yourself, cause while we know you would be excited for us, we also know you would also be saying "I'm sure glad that's not me!" One of my sister in laws made me laugh when she told me "Don't worry I will for SURE call and laugh at you!" How many of us really want a 19 or 20 year gap between our kids, let be honest! :-) Anyway, as most of you know I had surgery a week or so ago and prior to surgery they did a few different ultrasounds only to find that my ovaries are pretty much gone as well as the hopes of every having another baby.
Don't worry though, it's all good, no tears here! In a way it's a relief to know that I am not just one day going to be pregnant without knowing for SEVERAL months. (I can admit I am diet coke junkie and who know what that will do to a fetus!) Plus, there are plenty of advantages to knowing that I can't get pregnant! I will let you figure those out. :-) I can say though thank heavens for nieces and nephews! We are so grateful to be surrounded by family that let's us love on our nieces (Danny and Asia) and Nephew (Trenton) anytime we are craving some toddler time as well as countless other nieces & nephews whom we LOVE to see every time they come to town! You guys will never how much that means to us! For now we are loving the chance we have to be three...we know adoption and fostering are always an option...but for now we are just loving the experience of watching Jonathan grow up! Thank you for all your prayers and love for us over these MANY trying years...hopefully they are behind us for good! We are so grateful and blessed to be surrounded by such great friends and family!!!

Great post Kristen. It sounds like you are at peace with your decision, and there isn't anything better than that. So, go enjoy the advantages of not having to prevent it. :)
It's always a hard thing to come to terms with I think. But if there is ever a time you are wanting some toddler time, I have a few for you!
