A Rough 10 days...
So let me give everyone a word of advice...get your kids tonsils out when they are LITTLE!!! Like 3 or 4 little, when they don't know any better! These past 10 days have been the LONGEST days we have ever had with Jonathan. He is old enough to understand pain and refuse to open his mouth. Several times over this past 10 days I have had to sit on Jonathan and physically force his mouth open to get fluids and pain medicine down him...yeah...you can imagine how fun that was...not a good time! Then he finally felt a little better this Tuesday, so we decided to let him go to school. He had a great time and did really well. Jonathan has the BEST teacher this year. (His teacher last was year was the best too!) She was so excited to see him and told him if he felt tired, he could take a nap on the couch in the classroom - how great is that! Anyway, we made through Tuesday, no drama, he had a great day at school and was so excited to go on Wednesday. So Wednesday I picked up the neighbor kids and off to school we went. I let them out of the car and Jonathan gave me a kiss goodbye and got out of the car and he turned and started to say I love you, and he slammed the door on his thumb. Yeah...that was an even better time! So off to insta-care we went - cause it looked pretty bad. They took an X-ray, splinted it and back to school Jonathan went. (My kid LOVES school - didn't get that from me!) Oh the drama! Fortunately, Jonathan is finally starting to feel really good and get back in to the regular routine! HALLELUJAH!! I have to thank my hubby for his patience with me, as well as my boss Matt and our assistants - I have been sleep deprived and a little on the grumpy side. And a HUGE thank you Mindy for picking Jonathan up and giving him loves!!
