We spent New Years Eve with the Cottams this year - my in laws have a huge room that is the length and width of a 6 car garage, above their garage, so that is where we hung out and had tons of fun playing pounce and mad gab, while we waited to ring in the new year. We spent most of the night just laughing. There is no possible way with Melissa and LaNae together, along with Arlyn and her friend Melanie that you can go without laughing, and hard, especially while playing pounce (or as we in Seattle call it...Nertz) Melissa, we all think you need to move back! And soon! You too Arlyn...
Kasey took Jonathan, Mallory and Audra (our nieces that were visiting from Indiana) fishing before the festivities at my mother in laws. They had a great time, even if they didn't want to eat the fish...
Jonathan and Grandma (my mother in law) wrestling...she took Jonathan down in about 2 seconds - Jonathan loves to get grandma chasing and wrestling with him
Grandpa (my father in law) gets a quick nap before midnight (how he slept with over 15 people in the room laughing and shouting is beyond me)
I played Mad Gab with my nieces and Jonathan - they were pretty funny - Mallory would shout out the most random things thinking they were right. She is hilarious!
LaNae (Kasey's sister) joined in...and it was even funnier watching her facial expressions
Midnight finally arrives - a toast of cider to bring in the New Year.

Hey thanks for pics and run down of events. I was so bummed out that I couldn't be there to have fun with my fam. As with any Cottam get together, I can just imagine the laughs and all the chaos. Oh, and if you couldn't tell, my dad has an amazing ability to sleep through anything. He's just trying to catch up for the last sixty years or so. ;) Thanks again for sharing!

So fun! My husband calls it Pounce too, but he claims it is different than Nertz, I still haven't played his version.
