Family Home Evening

Can I just tell you how much I LOVE this time of year!! It seems like most evenings we get thunderstorms and those are my favorite! On Monday night, as we were getting ready to start Family Home Evening, the storm hit. So instead of having our lesson, we pulled out our camp chairs, set them up in the garage and let Jonathan play in the rain. (Jonathan is already making plans to go to the University of Washington, because he loves the rain!)
We love to sit in the garage...out of the rain...and watch the lighting and listen to the thunder.

We live at the bottom of our street so all the water runs down in front of our house and the boys love to run and splash in it.

Jonathan loves every minute of the rain...anytime it starts raining, he is running for the door to play in it...good thing his mother grew up in the rain...as long as he is wearing play clothes, I say go for it!

We had so much rain in such a short amount of time that it was running off the top of the Red Mountain. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it's beautiful and we get a front row seat from our backyard.

I remember feeling that way about the rain. We had about enough just a few weeks ago, but now we are ready for some more. So I wrote a blog just for Kasey, you will have to read it. We will be in St. George this fall, I would really like to meet you and get to know you, you seem sooo awesome. Our boys are the same age, maybe we can get together one day at the park and visit while they play.

We have been loving the rain storms as well! Sunday I took Aly out in her slip and bummies after church and we had our own little dance party in the rain! I love the HUGE Southern Utah raindrops! And the drop in temperature isn't half bad either! How are you? Call Me we need to chat or do lunch!
